A cutting-edge Medtech company is seeking a talented Backend Software Engineer to be a key player in our team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Software Development. As an integral part of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, and DevOps Engineers to build secure, scalable microservices that revolutionize clinical research applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate: Design and implement REST APIs using C# and .NET Core SDK.
  • Database Expertise: Develop relational database schemas, utilize Entity Framework (ORM), and handle database migrations.
  • Efficiency: Manage package dependencies effectively.
  • Modernize: Containerize microservices using Docker.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with DevOps Engineers on Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
  • Agile Methodology: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to streamline processes.
Requirements:
  • Technical Prowess: Expertise in designing and implementing REST APIs with C# and .NET Core SDK.
  • Testing Skills: Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using xUnit, Moq, SpecFlow, etc.
  • API Development: Experience in developing clients to consume external REST APIs.
  • Security Standards: Knowledge of endpoint and data security standards, including OAuth2.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • DevOps Mindset: Understanding of DevOps methodologies and container technologies.
  • Healthcare Insight: Relevant experience in the healthcare domain, with knowledge of FHIR standards highly desirable.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a UK university.

  • Commitment to Excellence: Strong commitment to writing testable, clean, and performant code.
  • Simplicity: Ability to minimize complexity and write code that is easy for peers to read and understand.
