The ideal candidate should have strong SQL Server/SSIS and C# skills, with at least 3 years of experience. The role involves working on master data management projects and requires excellent communication skills for user interaction. The position offers a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days on-site in either Reading or Central London. Salary for this role is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process.

Our client is a successful hospitality group which has operations across the UK, Ireland and more recently Europe. As a result of the organisation’s continued expansion into Europe, a number of large projects have been generated which has created a pressing need for additional technical expertise within the Data team.

We are looking for a DBA/Back End Developer with strong SQL Server/SSIS and C# skills to join an established team of 5 staff. Reporting to the Data Team Lead the new hire will work on a number of upcoming programmes of work primarily related to master data management. As projects will involve significant interaction with users across the business, great communication skills will be key to the success of the role. Projects will include the following:

  • With the launch of new business operations, there will be a requirement to capture all the data relating to new sites/ contracts/ services/billing, to communicate this data to the finance and communications functions and to build the information onto the existing database.
  • A project focussed on data access, data security and user management of the database.
  • A project to develop a sales database which will enable each outlet to build their food and beverage offerings based on a centralised record of food and beverage products.

The database is currently on prem but with a plan to move onto Azure/Cloud in the future.

This will be a hybrid role with the anticipation that the job holder will be on site 2-3 days per week. The position can be based in Reading or in Central London.
