Job Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for infrastructure automation and optimizing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Utilizing your expertise in Terraform, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and ElasticSearch, you will design and implement scalable and robust infrastructure solutions. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our partner's data platform operations through your exceptional DevOps skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and automated deployments.
  • Manage and enhance Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance for containerized applications.
  • Implement effective monitoring and logging solutions using ElasticSearch for efficient troubleshooting and incident response.
  • Work closely with software engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Ensure compliance and security standards are meticulously followed throughout the infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and scalability within the data platform.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, providing valuable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably within a cloud-based environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and practical experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling.
  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.
  • Familiarity with ElasticSearch or similar logging and monitoring solutions.
  • Exceptional scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience working in agile and collaborative environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Sound understanding of security and compliance practices in cloud environments.

Salary and Benefits:

In recognition of the vital role the Senior DevOps Engineer will play, our partner is offering a competitive salary of up to £85,000 per annum, with a Bonus of up to 33%, Car allowance of up to 15% and a 10% Pension.
