Job Title: Full Stack Engineer (C#/.Net and Angular 17)

Salary: £120k base (160k total package)

Onsite: 4x per week in London Office

Project:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled software developer with a strong background in the oil and gas or commodities sector to join the Applications team within our Front Office technology department. This role involves working across a critical application portfolio that directly supports oil traders and analysts in strategy and decision-making processes.
  • The portfolio of applications is currently undergoing a major re-design and re-engineering phase, with an active migration of users to a modernized, cloud-based (Azure) service architecture and a responsive user interface. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the implementation of these applications, as well as contribute to business-as-usual (BAU) tasks, continuous maintenance, and the ongoing evolution of key components and services.
  • While the majority of the work will focus on front-end development, there will also be significant opportunities to engage with services and data in ways that directly impact the delivery of business value. This position demands someone who understands the complexities and specific needs of the oil and gas/commodities industry to ensure the successful development and delivery of these mission-critical applications.

The ideal candidate disposes of:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Knowledge of operations or trading in the commodities context, in particular Oil, Gas, Shipping and related activities
  • Excellent communicator, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical issues to all levels
  • User focused thinking and a desire to understand the business context and requirements in detail
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and in working in SCRUM, KANBAN or similar
