We are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a team of 30 engineers and ML specialists in a dynamic startup environment.
The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer and possess leadership experience managing engineering teams.
This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities including mentoring, aligning technical solutions with business goals, and driving best practices.
Candidates should be proficient in Java, Spring, JavaScript, and have exposure to technologies like Elasticsearch, AWS/Azure, and ML.
The position is based in London, offering a salary of £140K along with bonuses and benefits.

About You:

You're a seasoned software leader with a strong background in full-stack development and a track record of mentoring high-performing teams. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy problem-solving, and can align technical solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team, fostering innovation.
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
Stay hands-on when required, contributing to key technical decisions.
Drive best practices in development, deployment, and architecture.

Requirements:

5+ years as a Full-Stack Developer (Java, Spring, JavaScript).
Leadership experience, managing engineering teams.
Exposure to Elasticsearch, Cloud (AWS/Azure), ML, GitHub, Jenkins, Linux.
Python experience is a plus.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
