Junior .Net Developer / Insurance / C# / Java / AWS

Permanent position / Software company / Remote working / Up to £30k pa.

Exceptional opportunity for a passionate and motivated Junior .Net Developer to join a leading software provider focused on the insurance sector.

KEY DUTIES:

• Write, test, and improve code to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.
• Refactor and optimise existing code, always aiming for best practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to help maintain a smooth-running system.
• Create and run unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with the team to plan work, estimate effort and deliver projects.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

If you’ve dabbled with any of these, that’s great! Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box—our client will help you get there:

• C#
• Java or C/C++
• .NET Framework / .NET Core / ASP.NET.
• Front-end Frameworks and languages such Javascript, VueJS or Angular.
• Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban).
• Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

ABOUT YOU:

You will have some 6-12mths commercial experience with a passion about coding and eager to learn, we want to hear from you. You will have gained some formal qualifications (degree / training) in the field of IT and/or development. Some of the other skills & experience the client is looking for someone are:

• Programming Enthusiasm: Familiarity with C#, .NET Framework, or .NET Core from studies, personal projects, or internships.
• Problem Solver: You enjoy tackling challenges and finding creative solutions.
• Learner’s Mindset: You’re open to feedback and keen to keep improving your skills.
• Team Spirit: You enjoy collaborating, contributing to discussions, and learning from others.
• Curiosity about APIs and Architecture: Basic knowledge of REST APIs and design patterns like MVC is a plus, but they’ll help you learn.
• Quality Matters: You care about writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
