My client, a household name financial services brand, requires a Lead Developer who has experience in overseeing development teams to deliver projects to time and budget and developing n-tier component based designs using OO development methodologies. The successful candidate must have experience of delivering, designing and reviewing robust, high availability transactional applications to time and budget. be enthusiastic and pro-active, with the drive and commitment to work effectively in a challenging environment.
Essential - Demonstrable experience working in .NET, Azure and web services environments, as well as having experience covering all aspects of the development life cycle; preferably gained in the financial sector. The candidate will need to be comfortable with working in an Offshore development model as the development teams are predominately based outside of the UK.
The candidate will work within the Development Team reporting to the Platform Leader and will take ownership of a number of in-house built applications and their teams, growing a wealth of knowledge in both the code and how the systems work but also the business usage of the applications.
They will be responsible for inputting to the Solution Design for all changes within their managed applications and making sure that the code quality is kept at a high standard, through design of code and reviews of all the artefacts needed.
They will oversee development teams running the day-to-day activities making sure that solution Designs (created by Architecture) are met with in the change, that a high quality of code is achieved follow the standards set out by the Lead Developer and that changes are delivered within the timescales agreed in the project.
Required:
- Experience in Reviewing and Creating C# code to standards.
- List key technologies: Microsoft .NET Developer tool-set (Visual Studio), TFS, Office applications Azure, C#, Web Frameworks (ASP.Net) and various Libraries (React)
- Understanding of the Full Software development Life cycle
- Experience in Software design principles
- Experience in writing Solution designs for technical implementation
- Experience in Leading teams at a technical level
- Passion for understanding how a whole solution works and how it benefits the business owners
