Your new roleLead Engineer with the following skills in addition to the essential skillsExcellent development skills, with a depth of experience including Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST API's, observability and monitoring, queue technologies and security.Detailed knowledge of best practices such as SOLID principlesExperience of building new and evolving microservices with emphasis on high availability and data integrity.Highly experienced in test methodologies including unit testing with JUnit, use of TDD, integration tests and end-to-end testing, as a way to promote high quality codebases.Working with relational databases -Postgres/MySQL would be of particular relevance.Supporting and developing complex architecture including APIsWilling to be part of a 24/7 L3 support team (on call)Management and resolution of tickets relating to incident, change, service request and problem processes in accordance with the agreed PPPT / DDaT operating modelsDay to day task will includeDeveloping and maintaining the existing service.Updated service documentation where necessary.Peer reviewsDemonstration and acceptance of changes by the Programme Manager or agent on behalf of PM during the Sprint Review.Team/service development leadership, including mentoring more junior developers.What you'll need to succeedBackend: Java (legacy 8 and 17+), Spring/Spring Boot, Maven/GradleFront End: React/HTMLJenkins CI/CDKibanaAWS Cloud services MongoDB / MySQL or other RDBSKubernetes / DockerMicro-services Architecture Security and PKITerraformTeam Leadership/MentoringWhat you'll get in returnc£550 per day (inside IR35)What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
