Lead Full Stack Developer

Location: London/remote

Salary: £87,500 £4,000 Bonus

Overview

Our engineering teams are at the core of delivering innovative solutions across various practices. Each team consists of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and engineer squads, with each squad aligned to a specific practice such as Cloud and Security or IoT. This structure ensures focused expertise and collaboration to drive business growth and meet customer needs.

The Role:

As a Lead Developer (Full stack), you will guide your squad in implementing high-quality solutions and meeting project goals. You will handle both back-end and front-end development tasks, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the most technical tasks, serve as an escalation point for the front and back-end developers in your squad, and be the decision-maker for technical decisions within the squad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor your squad in full stack development activities.
  • Develop and maintain server-side logic and user-facing features.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Optimise applications for speed and scalability.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
  • Handle technical tasks and act as an escalation point.
  • Make technical decisions for the squad.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js).
  • Proficiency in server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java) and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with responsive design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
