About the Role:As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specialising in Java, you'll guide a dedicated team focused on delivering highly scalable and robust services within the company's platform. Your role will emphasise efficient testing strategies, particularly shift-left testing principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Guidance: Oversee performance assessments and hiring for a team of SDETs.
- Strategic Planning: Guide the team's testing and automation strategies.
- Test Planning: Define and organise test planning for releases.
- Development: Design and code automation frameworks, tests, and tools.
- Collaboration: Participate in team planning and story grooming.
- Experience: At least 8 years in test development, including 2 years guiding a small team.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented principles.
- Agile Expertise: Proficient in applying test practices in an agile environment.
- Unit Testing: Experience with frameworks like JUnit, TestNG.
- Backend Testing: Familiarity with testing backend systems or APIs.
- Performance Testing: Knowledge of tools like JMeter, Gatling.
- Salary Range: Offering a salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
