Lead Software Engineer | Tech Agnostic (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, C#) | London or Manchester | Up to £105,000 + Bonus | DV Clearance Required
MERITUS are working with an expanding national security consultancy looking for experienced senior software engineers to take on technical / team leadership in their London consulting team. There are 2 positions available.
If successful you will join an experienced team working to design, build & maintain secure applications for National Security customers including web & server based applications. To be successful you will need in depth programming experience in at least one of the following languages; Java, Python, C++, C# or JavaScript, ideally they're looking for full stack capability but will look at experienced backend engineers who're looking to grow their exposure to frontend experience.
The role is based on customer site in Central London & they require candidates to hold active DV security clearance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working closely with customer teams to design, build & maintain secure applications & platforms.
- Full Stack web application development across multiple projects.
- Technical / Team leadership including 121's, code reviews, mentorship etc.
Skills Required:
- In depth experience programming in at least one of Java, Python, C#, C++ or JavaScript.
- Exposure to DevOps tools / practices; CI/ CD (Jenkins, Git or similar), Containers (Docker / Kubernetes), Terraform.
- Exposure to cloud hosted development ideally AWS.
- Demonstrable experience working in a technical & team leadership capacity.
- Active DV Security Clearance.
Desirable Skills:
Exposure to the following would be beneficial but not required:
- Exposure to mobile development (ideally Android).
- Exposure to AI / ML.
Package Details:
- Salary up to £105,000
- £3,000 bonus + annual performance bonus
