They are leading the development of a cutting-edge platform aimed at predicting vehicle reliability issues, utilizing proprietary hardware and software with direct manufacturer connectivity. This groundbreaking initiative addresses the challenge of processing real-time data from modern vehicles.
Our client is on the lookout for a Lead Java Software Engineer to join their dynamic data ingestion team. This critical role involves enhancing compatibility with global manufacturers. As a Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping architecture, guiding product direction, and developing new services from the ground up. Your expertise in Java, AWS, Kafka, Micronaut, and more will be vital in refining existing platforms and seamlessly integrating third-party inputs whilst leading & managing a small team of engineers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer
- Prior exposure to running 1-2-1's, setting KPI's and general manager responsibilities
- Proven experience in providing technical leadership and spearheading projects
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Experience in a high-paced environment
- Extensive familiarity with Kafka & Kafka Stream
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with monthly office visits required. It includes a competitive salary of £95K, a potential bonus of up to 20%, and a comprehensive benefits package.
