Role: Lead Software Engineer (PHP + Laravel)Salary: circa £75,000 to £95,000 per annum, depending on certs and experience Location: fully remote
We have a permanent position available for a Lead Software Engineer to work fully remotely, leading a highly technical team in Laravel and PHP with AWS Cloud services to create scalable, responsive user interfaces. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about Cyber Security with previous experience in a SAAS environment.
This is a full-time position, paying between circa £75000 and £95000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications, with some fantastic benefits including unlimited annual leave. For this role you MUST be a UK resident and eligible to work in the UK unsupported by a visa.
What we're looking for:
- Leadership: Previous experience leading teams and ensuring project delivery under tight deadlines
- PHP Expertise: 7+ years of experience with PHP and at least 5 years working with the Laravel framework.
- Frontend Proficiency: Strong skills in Blade and Livewire for developing interactive UI elements.
- HTML & CSS: Excellent command of pure HTML and CSS, with a focus on responsive design.
- API Development: Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- AWS Experience: Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambda.
- Database Management: Strong skills in MySQL and database optimisation.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git for code versioning and collaboration.
- CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Basic penetration testing awareness is hugely beneficial
What you'd be doing:
- Lead and mentor a team of Engineers, providing technical guidance and acting as the key liaison for stakeholders
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time
- Develop and oversee CI/CD pipelines, using and utilising AWS services
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable software solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain the application using PHP, Laravel, Blade, and Livewire.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces with HTML and CSS.
- Deliver high-quality solutions.
