We are looking to onboard an Oracle Developer to work within the Finance team for a well-known professional certification firm. This is a contract engament expected to run from November 2024 to end of August 2025 and potentially beyond. The role can be fully remote so we are able to consider individuals located anywhere within the UK and this engagement can also be considered outside IR35.

Role Background

A need has been identified for an Oracle Developer to manage specific deliverables around the Finance NSAW (Netsuite Analytics Warehouse) module, ensuring desired standards are achieved and results fall within the applicable scope, quality and agreed timelines. They will be part of the Finance Product function within the Strategic Operations function.

Key Activities
  • Provide Netsuite development for NSAW as mandated by the finance Product Lead.
  • Manage specific product projects testing flows around this module and oversee the development cycle, engagement process and operational go live, focused on the netsuite perspective and impact.

i. Deal directly with Oracle and other vendors for continued progress

ii. Within the specified team, take ownership for desired tests, track to completion

iii. Assess impact on finance and document requirements and scope of specific delivery

iv. Ensure documentation is covered and amendments to BAU process is clear, pre delivery and post completion of the sprint

v. Dashboard input and accuracy of reporting from finance or delivery functions during the change management process

vi. Implementation into BAU practice with business signoff

vii. Track and create plans for delivery health when allocated

viii. Creation of BRD elements for 3rd party oversight

ix. Engagement with internal and external parties as required for data sourcing

  • Identify and escalate errors in Netsuite workflows, scripts and integrations through the designated governance channels.
  • Support any assistance for associated outputs from the Netsuite ERP/NSAW module, as it relates to Analytics
  • Provide assistance on any issue resolution or performance related issues, which are centric to the performance of the NSAW delivery
  • Manage multiple third party data flows into the same NSAW module for stitching to Netsuite ERP data

Key Requirements

  • Must be a seasoned Oracle Developer, preferably with experience of leading a development team and ability to get close to the detail and drive things forward
  • Someone experienced who has managed the roll-out of a new Oracle based system before
  • Ideally with experience working in Finance space as the bulk of dashboards they need to build are within Finance
  • Proven BI Tool Experience; with a strong preference for Oracle Analytics. PowerBI, Tableau and Looker experience could also fit the bill
  • Proven ERP Experience: preferably NetSuite, but Oracle Fusion would also suffice. Process knowledge required for S2P/P2P, Record to Report, Order to Cash etc.
  • Analytical Skills: the ability to understand complex requirements, how they fit into business processes and how end-users will interact with the dashboards and reports provided.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability of translating technical feasibility into standard language will be very helpful.
  • Design + Visualisation Expertise: Someone who is keen on design + visualisation (complimentary skillset to building dashboards/reports). Modern, sleek-looking, easy to use and navigate dashboard design
  • SQL; At a minimum, some basic SQL knowledge.
