We are seeking a dedicated Power Platform Developer to join our technology department’s development team. This role is crucial for harnessing Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 and the Power Platform, to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in automating business processes, integrating applications, and ensuring the stability and progression of our technology platforms, with a particular emphasis on Canvas apps within the Power Platform.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop applications to automate business processes using Power Apps, with a strong emphasis on Canvas apps for data capture and user interaction, complemented by Power Automate for process automation.
  • Produce detailed low-level designs as required and collaborate with quality assurance team members.
  • Guide the requirements capture process to ensure the delivery of appropriate outcomes.
  • Create comprehensive release documentation and oversee the deployment process, including the submission of change documentation.
  • Offer guidance to 2nd line support and assist in troubleshooting issues.
  • Conduct problem-solving and analysis for live issues, supporting team members with analysis and providing bug fixes.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Estimate workloads for future sprints and showcase development work at Show & Tell sessions.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and fostering mutual learning.
  • Ensure the platform remains stable and available to meet business needs, aligning development with agreed standards and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Evaluate and adopt new techniques to enhance the platform.
  • Manage system and data integration between various systems.
  • Effectively resolve issues and escalate as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a developer in the Power Platform, with a strong focus on Canvas apps within Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Deep working knowledge of the Power Platform, including Canvas and model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, system & data integration.
  • A solid understanding of workflow, document generation, and form capture technologies.
  • Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with Internet Information Services (IIS) and Active Directory.
  • Ability to write and analyse SQL queries.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for task management and deployment automation.
  • Understanding of SharePoint and Office 365 environments and their applications.
  • Knowledge of gateways and on-premise integrations with Office 365.
