PRINCIPAL SIGNALLING SYSTEMS ENGINEER - LONDON (HYBRID) - PERMANENT - £69,000 - £83,968 + BONUSARM are working with a railway company who are at the forefront in research and future standards within the industry, as well as supporting other companies adopt new technologies within their railway systems. We are currently recruiting for a Principal Signalling Systems Engineer to join the team based in London, but working hybrid on a permanent basis. About You:* You will be an experienced Signalling Engineer with experience and knowledge of UK conventional signalling on railways. * You will also have some knowledge of ETCS railway systems also. * You will be educated to degree level in either engineering, scientific or mathematical subjects. * You will a good understanding of requirements engineering within railways. * You will hold an industry recognised qualification such as IET, IRSE or be chartered. * Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of system modelling and will have wider knowledge of the whole railway systems too.What you will be doing:This position will be working with the companies partners and members to help deliver a safer railway, through developing requirements, involvement in standards setting and delivering workshops to the industry. This position will be focused on conventional railway signalling systems, but will have some involvement with ECTS, as this is likely to become more common place. This position is based from London but offering the hybrid working model, with 2 days a week in the office. The company also offers flexible working on times also. What you can expect in return:Salary for this position is between £69,000 and £83,968 and is dependent on experience and suitability for the role. There is also a bonus scheme that could add a further 13% on top of this. Holiday allowance is a very generous 30 days per annum + bank holidays.
