Our client are on the looking to recruit an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to spearhead the creation and deployment of ground-breaking software solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company who are looking to disrupt their industry sector and become the Global leader!
The ideal candidate should possess robust technical acumen, impeccable skills, and a track record of successful project execution. As the Senior Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to conceive, design, and execute top-tier, enterprise-scalable software products that cater to clients and end-users. While actively coding, you will be responsible for upholding technical excellence throughout development and QA, as well as shaping the architecture of your product domain. Hybrid role based in North West London 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
? Work as part of a cross-functional team to help drive the development of new features
? Lead change, innovation, and drive transformation within the client teams: your expertise will identify opportunities for improvement in frontend applications, tooling, and architecture.
? Ensure best practices and patterns: you will advocate and enforce best standards, and patterns. Your deep understanding of backend technologies will help you to guide your peers - ensuring that code is of high quality.
? Work on automation and process improvement: you will increase effciency, reliability, and scalability, by creating automated processes that improve development workows.
Required Skills:
Significant experience in API and web application development in Python (ideally with Flask, FastAPI or similar.) is ESSENTIAL
? Experience with designing and building REST APIs
? Strong GCP skills including conguration management (ideally using terraform)
? Experience with Cloud Functions and Cloud Runs
? Experience with containerisation (docker/ kubernetes)
? Experience in automating builds (CI/CD), feature ags, automated testing, and releases using industry-standard tools for the GCP platform
? Knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies and practices
The role is based in North West London 2 days a week
