  • A high level of collaboration with Quantitative Analysts and Investment/Trading teams is expected to ensure successful integration with third-party systems like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.

Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable client in the Investment Management sector on the expansion of their Alternatives Investment Technology team. Our client are looking for an experienced Python Developer to assist them in an exciting project that will see the redevelopment of their Systematic Strategies/Risk Premia investment platform.

You will work directly with the Quantitative Analysts, Quant Project Managers as well as the Investment/Trading teams to fully understand the requirement and partner with them on the design, development and testing of their cloud based platform that will modernise the way they interact and create solutions for their clients. The application will be built with Python, based on Azure and linked to the client's strategic data platform (Snowflake). You will also ensure successful integration with third party systems that provide real-time market data feeds including Bloomberg, Refinitiv and Reuters.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Extensive Python Development experience with libraries/frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy and/or PySpark
  • Experience working directly with Quantitative teams
  • Hedge Fund or Alternative Investment experience
  • Any exposure to Risk Premia, Commodities implementation systems or Systematic Strategies platforms would be advantageous
  • AWS or Azure exposure
  • System/Event-Driven design experience

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high profile project. The role is for 6 months initially with a high possibility of extension. The role has been deemed inside IR35 and we require a candidate to work onsite in London 3 days per week.
