React Native Developer

Our FTSE100 Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled React Native Developer to join their London based team for a 6 months initial contract.

We are looking for a talented React Native Developer with a solid understanding of Azure Cloud services to join our dynamic development team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications while integrating with Azure Cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native.
  • Integrate and manage mobile applications with various Azure Cloud services (such as Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure App Service, etc.).
  • Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate RESTful APIs and other services with mobile applications.
  • Build reusable, clean, and maintainable code while following industry best practices.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency using Azure DevOps.
  • Implement push notifications, authentication, and other mobile-specific features using Azure services.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely solutions and improvements.
  • Ensure mobile apps are performant, responsive, and meet design requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, project managers, and backend developers, to ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with Azure services.
  • Continuously stay updated on new React Native features, tools, and Azure cloud technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience working with React Native in building cross-platform mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), React, and React Native development principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, including but not limited to:
  • Azure Functions for serverless application logic
  • Azure Storage (Blob, Tables, Queues)
  • Azure App Services for deploying web APIs and apps
  • Azure Active Directory for authentication
  • Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of integrating cloud-based solutions with mobile applications.
  • Strong experience in working with RESTful APIs, OAuth, and JWT for secure authentication.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git and GitHub.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app deployment processes on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging mobile applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Azure IoT, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Event Grid is a plus.
  • Exposure to React Navigation and Redux for state management.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
