C# Engineer - SQL, FIX, WPF. Leading commodity trading based in London
Hybrid working (3 days a week on site)
This post is for a senior engineer looking to lead and modernise ways of working. We are looking for someone with commodity trading experience; the candidate will be delivery focussed while also mentoring colleagues:
- Work within an Agile project team to design and develop robust enterprise-wide solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements. Utilise industry-standard practices and technologies, delivering low-maintenance, robust applications on budget and on deadline.
- Specialise in middleware technology using C#, REST APIs, FIX messaging, XML, Microservice architecture, and AMQ.
- Provide appropriate direction on architecture design, release management, code reviews, and unit testing within the team, ensuring that project delivery and code quality adhere to standards.
Skills:
- Commodity Trading Expertise: Significant experience in a commodities trading environment, specifically with derivative products from Exchanges and broker platforms like ICE, CME, NASDAQ, Trayport, and TT. Experience in trading products such as oil, gas, power, and carbon is highly valued.
- Core Development: Strong development background in C# .Net, RESTful Web Services, and Microservice architecture.
- Middleware Technologies: Experience with FIX messaging, XML, and AMQ is essential.
