Job Title: Senior Java Software Engineer (Backend)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + benefits
Location: Central London (Hybrid onsite 3 days per week)
Company Overview:Wedo is partnering with a high-growth, double unicorn payment tech company that has announced its intent to go public. This B2C company serves over 4 million customers and has recently secured an additional £125 million in funding. As they prepare for their IPO, they are expanding their tech and product teams by over 80 new hires and tripling their commerce operations.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. We are looking to speak with coding enthusiasts who live and breathe software, and who obsess about quality. If the idea of building software from the ground up and driving innovation, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing high quality and well-structured code to support and extend the existing brand product.
- Have a strong grip on engineering best practices, problem solving and solution design.
- Advise on improvements to testing strategy, as well as being resposible for unit/integration testing.
- Building well-tested, high-performing APIs and integrations.
- Working with databases and data securely and efficiently.
- Supporting junior staff as and when needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven Java experience, as well as Spring Boot.
- Exposure to SQL type databases (MySQL, SQL Server etc).
- Experience of IaC (Terraform)
- High levels of proficiency in cloud architecture (AWS) and tooling.
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes is a bonus, as is experience working on a B2C product.
