VP Senior Java Software (individual contributor) - Investment Bank Trading Systems - 100% Greenfield

Hybrid 2-3 days on-site (not set days)

Rare opportunity to join at the early stages of a multi-year programme where you will have direct input in the design of a complex trading platform for this globally renowned Investment Bank.

Technical stack: Java, Spring, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite, Angular, and Kubernetes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Extensive experience in complex software development with specialisation in messaging middleware, databases (Oracle, Flink, Ignite, Kafka), or Kubernetes.
Deep server-side knowledge and understanding of streaming architectures.
Experience with SDLC automation tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
Strong technical skills and advocacy for test-driven development and delivery automation.
Experience working in a global team, aiding others through pair programming and knowledge sharing.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude and ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with business, operations, developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to shape the future platform.

Ideal candidates for this role will have 8+ years experience predominently spent within an investment banking environment and will likely be in the early years of VP level role. Unfortunately sponsorship / COS transfer is not available for this role.
