We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Software Engineer to join the team and contribute to transforming the education sector with cutting-edge technological solutions. Description

  • Ensure tasks align with the Institute's mission and values.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and the Institute's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy.
  • Leverage expertise in JavaScript, Python, and Django to support technical development.
  • Manage and ensure accurate data flow across systems (e.g., TDS, Semestry, Oracle, Qlik, Canvas).
  • Implement robust security measures and comply with industry standards for data management.
  • Stay updated on changes in the data access and technical landscape.
  • Manage projects, collaborate with teams, and contribute to information exchange.
  • Provide support for Canvas Virtual Learning Environment and Office 365 tools (e.g., Outlook, OneDrive, Teams).
  • Establish strong working relationships with staff, students, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure communications are aligned with the Institute's tone and policies.
  • Adhere to data protection regulations and organisational policies.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft 365 Certification
  • Postgraduate Degree in IT
  • ITIL Certification
  • Full Stack Developer Certification (Preferred)


Experience & Attributes:

  • Experience in a Higher Education IT setting.
  • Expertise in Microsoft desktop/server OS and Office applications.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Adaptability to manage change in a fast-paced environment.
