ServiceNow Developer | UK Only - Remote | Up to £70,000

Oliver James are currently assisting one of the largest Software and Managed Service Providers with a variety of Technology & Professional Services roles. We are supporting the expansion of their ServiceNow function and they are looking to bring on a ServiceNow Solutions Architect and Developer to the team.Their vision is to become a certified ServiceNow Partner in the near future, so this is a really exciting time to join the business where you'll be able to really make your mark on the organisation and play a key part in driving their roadmap strategy moving forwards.

This person must have strong expertise with the ITSM and ITOM modules, as well as an understanding of CMDB. You will play a crucial role in taking the platform forward and continuing to deliver value to the business from the implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the development and enhancement of solutions within the ServiceNow platform, focusing on ITSM, CSM, and ITOM modules.
  • Oversee the administration and smooth operation of the ServiceNow platform, including managing updates and deployments.
  • Design and implement complex Service Catalog items, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Write and maintain server-side scripts, access control rules, business rules, UI actions, and policies using languages such as JavaScript, Angular, and Python.
  • Create tailored solutions for clients using ServiceNow modules like Customer Service Management, Incident and Problem Management, Change and Release Management, Knowledge and Asset Management, CMDB, Virtual Agent, and employee portals.
  • Develop and maintain system design documents, process flows, and other operational documentation.
  • Track development progress, report on status and performance metrics, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve processes and keep updated on best practices, emerging tools, and technologies within the ServiceNow ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years hands-on ServiceNow development experience across large-scale transformation projects where ServiceNow was integrated with multiple enterprise-tier applications such as Salesforce/CRM, NetSuite, and ERPs.
  • Strong understanding of development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-management skills, including the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, prioritise tasks, and collaborate with internal business functions.
  • ServiceNow Administrator certification and Implementation Specialist (ITSM or CSM) certification ae highly desired.
