Simulation Software Engineer (C++ / Java)Remote first / Inside IR35 / Rate negotiable / Start ASAP / potential for multiple extensionsSR2 have partnered with a specialist consultancy on a huge programme of work around modelling and simulations. As such, we are looking for a skilled software engineer with proven experience in simulation software. It is desirable if you have experience with HLA concepts such as FOMs, SOMs, object classes, interactions, and ownership management, along with hands-on experience using the Pitch pRTI or similar RTI implementations.Key Requirements:
  • Proficiency in C++ or Java.
  • Experience designing and developing HLA federates (desirable) 
  • Familiarity with federation execution control and management.
  • Strong debugging skills in distributed simulation environments.
What You’ll Do:
  • Define and implement an HLA federation using Pitch pRTI and a custom FOM.
  • Build an interface between HLA messages and flatbuffers to enable federate visualization in the UI via Data Plane websocket.
  • Design and implement scenario management messages to support shared initial states and dynamic events across federates
