Our Financial Services client is looking for a highly skilled Snowflake developer/ engineer to join their London based team for a 6 months initial contract.

THIS ROLE SITS INSIDE IR35

    • Snowflake Data Modelling & Architecture: Design and implement data models (star schema, snowflake schema) within Snowflake to ensure optimal performance and ease of reporting for complex financial data.
    • ETL/ELT Pipelines: Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into Snowflake from various sources (SQL, APIs, flat files, etc.).
    • Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security in compliance with financial regulations.
    • Optimisation & Performance Tuning: Perform query optimisation, partitioning, clustering, and other performance tuning techniques to ensure efficient query execution and cost-effective data storage in Snowflake.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support financial reporting, analysis, and regulatory compliance.
    • Security & Governance: Ensure data security and implement governance best practices within Snowflake, managing access controls, roles, and permissions to meet financial services industry standards.
    • Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor data workflows and Snowflake instances for reliability, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring uptime and performance.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for data models, processes, and workflows for audit, compliance, and future reference.
    • Innovation & Best Practices: Keep up to date with industry trends, Snowflake features, and best practices to continually improve data processes and solutions.
