Job Title: Software Consultant
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Work Model: Hybrid
We are looking for an experienced Software Consultant to join a team focused on enhancing business systems in a financial services environment, preferably within asset servicing.This role involves designing and implementing innovative solutions, providing technical leadership, and working collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose and implement solutions that align business needs with architectural best practices.
- Guide the squad in adopting modern development methodologies, design patterns, and cloud technologies.
- Manage and prioritize architectural and technical debt backlogs.
- Collaborate with business and tech teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Actively participate in all Agile/SAFe ceremonies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud concepts, ideally Microsoft Azure (AZ900 certified).
- Software Engineering: Experience with modern development practices, test/process automation, Linux, MS SQL Server/Oracle, and Java.
- Financial Services: Previous experience in asset servicing roles (e.g., Transfer Agency) preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and lead project steps.
