The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Software Engineer?

  • Design software architecture using UML and the Enterprise Architect tool.
  • Implement and test software in C++, including unit and continuous integration testing.
  • Develop, integrate, and optimize sonar signal processing algorithms.
  • Implement and refine artificial intelligence algorithms.
  • Collaborate through peer review, fostering a culture of learning and constructive feedback.
  • Analyse and resolve integration defects to support verification teams.
  • Track progress of assigned tasks using Azure DevOps, including backlog management and time estimation.
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and progress reporting.

What are we looking for in our next Software Engineer?

  • Proven experience in C++ development.
  • Proficiency in multi-threaded design.
  • Strong understanding of signal processing and/or AI/ML techniques.
  • Familiarity with UML design techniques.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Machine Learning expertise.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Knowledge of packaging tools and repositories such as Conan and Nexus.
