Venn Group are working with one of London’s leading Universities, who are looking to recruit a Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to improve and maintain research platforms based on Kubernetes. The role involves developing, integrating, and enhancing cloud-native software tools to create dynamic research environments.

Title: Infrastructure & Automation Engineer

Location: Central London

Salary:£53,000 - £57,000 DOE

Hours: Full time

Contract : Permanent   

Duties:

  • Oversee new Kubernetes cluster for research groups
  • Lead the development of a new research platform - designing, coding, testing, and integrating advanced ML/AI performance, resource management, and security
  • Manage infrastructure, optimize performance, and develop cloud-native tools to enable dynamic research environments and implement regular system updates
  • Oversee CI/CD pipleline to improve research software deployments
  • Build and maintain systems tailored to ML/AI workload
  • Contribute to strategic planning around research infrastructure, providing guidance on Kubernetes and cloud practices

Essential Skills:

  • Linux experience
  • Containerization experience
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Proficient in Python and Go.
  • Experience with GPU workloads and data pipelines
