Pearson Carter are currently working with a mobile and front-end technology provider who create bespoke solutions to clients worldwide within the iGaming industry. Their solutions are created to support lottery, casino, sportsbook, and bingo operations and create the top quality mobile apps and websites to provide their users with an unforgettable gaming experience. They are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to support their goals for 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Line managing a large team, or multiple smaller teams, of Software Engineers using Agile processes (SCRUM/Kanban)
  • Ensuring the team is focused on high value work and delivering projects within agreed budget, on time and to agreed scope.
  • Communicate progress and achievements to all levels, including execs, and present clear and concise project updates.
  • Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes, and to reduce waste.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement: Using retrospective data, project metrics, bug escape metrics and regular operational catch ups across the business, gather actionable data, track trends, and analyse data to demonstrate continuous improvement to process, approaches, and tooling across teams.
  • Working with the Head of Engineering, contribute to, and maintain, the strategy that will be rolled out and inspire your team to act on an energised vision of Software Engineering.

Experience:

  • Previous leadership/management experience is required.
  • Can demonstrate the previous impact their leadership has had on their teams/businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of performance scalability systems
  • System design/architecture expertise is advantageous

Salary

They offer an exceptional salary package: Up to £80,000 + several additional benefits

Location

This company has headquarters in London and Newcastle and you are expected to go into office between 1-2 times a week.
