Overview:
A prime opportunity has opened with our client, a global financial services company undergoing an exciting transformation. We are looking for 2 SQL Developers to bring their data services development expertise and support client implementations and the daily operations of systems for both internal and external clients efficiently and professionally.
This role involves supporting various data services, including data, interfaces, and reports.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly meet the business requirements and implementation needs of clients, following agreed standards and procedures.
- Assist in improving and standardizing processes, tools, and documentation for all data-related deliverables.
- Identify and analyze data queries to ensure accurate data management across all workstreams.
- Create and maintain technical and deterministic models to understand the impact of changes and develop test scenarios.
- Perform sufficient unit testing to ensure high-quality output and document results as necessary.
- Collaborate with your team leader to ensure all implementation services meet the required quality criteria, delivered on time and within budget.
- Understand business requirements and develop/code the necessary client configurations across various disciplines such as Data, Reports, and Interfaces.
- Document work comprehensively to facilitate handovers if needed.
- Draft specifications, test packs, and user guides to document developments.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and procedures to enhance productivity.
- Address and resolve documentation problems or deficiencies by proposing and implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of working time using Jira and the Time Recording Engine.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Implementations and Development.
- Developer qualifications or evidence supporting expertise in relevant disciplines, such as Informatica, VBA, VB.Net, SQL, C#, PowerShell, SSIS, SSRS.
- Strong knowledge of product/applications and implementation processes.
- Solid proficiency in the Microsoft suite and other analytical applications.
- Desirable: Familiarity with the Employee Benefits and/or Life & Pensions industries.
Contract details:
- Day rate: 425 - 465 per day
- IR35 status: Inside IR35 via Umbrella
- Contract length: 6 months
- Location: Hybrid / London (other locations across the UK available also) (2X per week)
