QA Software Tester

Hybrid - 2 days/week in Central London office (SE11AA)

THE ROLE

We have partnered with a Web Development and Digital Marketing Agency based in Central London. They are seeking a QA Software Tester with solid experience in manual testing and an exposure to automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of testing and development principles, agile methodologies, and proficiency in using test automation tools. As this Test team grows, you will be able to work more within Software Test Automation as they embrace Automation moving forward.

  • Develop and execute software test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Perform tests on software applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements, design specifications, and testing objectives.
  • Utilise test automation tools to create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts, providing feedback on their effectiveness.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Testing PHP updates on platforms & websites.
  • Document and communicate test results, defects, and issues to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with developers to resolve defects and verify fixes.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and automation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent background in manual software testing.
  • Exposure to automation testing and familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, Playwright or similar.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a solid understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

SALARY

£30-37k Basic + Benefits (inc Private healthcare, Bonus)
