Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Greenford OR Loudwater (Hybrid role with 3-4 days per week onsite) Preferably based in or around London.
Job Type: Permanent, asap start date.
We are seeking a detail oriented Test Technician to perform testing and validation of manufactured products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in executing test procedures, troubleshooting issues, and working with automated test systems. This role requires strong collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to drive process improvements and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Execution & Data Collection
- Conduct tests on manufactured products following predefined test procedures.
- Accurately collect, document, and analyse test results.
- Identify and report product failures or anomalies to the Test Systems Engineer.
- Perform environmental, functional, and stress testing as required.
2. Equipment Setup & Maintenance
- Set up and configure test equipment based on test specifications.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance on testing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues before escalating to the Test Systems Engineer.
3. Automation & Software Support
- Execute automated test scripts and provide feedback on their effectiveness.
- Assist in debugging and optimizing automated test sequences.
- Work closely with the engineering team to refine automated test processes.
4. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
- Identify issues in test procedures and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to diagnose test failures.
- Escalate complex technical issues for further analysis.
5. Process Compliance & Documentation
- Follow established testing protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment usage, and encountered issues.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with company and industry standards.
6. Support & Collaboration
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth testing within the manufacturing process.
- Train production personnel on test procedures and equipment operation.
- Provide real-time feedback on test system performance to engineers.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to test procedures based on practical experience.
- Participate in discussions related to test development and process improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and new testing methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in test execution, troubleshooting, and automation support.
- Proficiency in using test equipment and software tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated test systems and scripting.
- Knowledge of environmental and stress testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in testing.
