Position: Sustainability Lead

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

Our client, a leading organization committed to sustainability, is looking for an experienced Sustainability Lead for an internal ESG role. Reporting to the Head of HSEQ, you will join an innovative and collaborative organization focused on creating meaningful change.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and objectives aligned with best practices and organizational goals.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, including Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions evaluations, to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead carbon reduction initiatives and manage accreditation processes such as Carbon Charter.
  • Deliver engaging sustainability training programs to build organizational awareness and commitment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management and HR, to embed sustainability across the business.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and frameworks such as ISO 14064.
  • Represent our client at industry events, project meetings, and conferences to advocate for sustainability initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies to continuously enhance sustainability efforts.

Professional and Personal Attributes:

  • Proven experience in sustainability or environmental management, with a strong track record of delivering impactful results.
  • A degree or professional qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Membership or working towards membership with IEMA or an equivalent professional body.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and driving sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with carbon reduction planning, compliance frameworks, and delivering sustainability training programs.
