SEN Teaching Assistant: Start as soon as possible

Salary: £90 - £110

Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school across Hillingdon, who are seeking experienced SEN Teaching assistants. This school is located in Wembley with an Ofsted rated good, this is a two entry form school where they focus on pupils to achieve to their full potential, academically, creatively, socially, spiritually and physically.

As SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work on a one-to-one with a pupil who are autistic to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare. Create an interesting environment for students. Keep records and attend review meetings. Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis with SEN with their physical, emotional and social needs
  • Updating pupils files regarding their progress
  • Supervise during play and meal times
  • Have to support with personal care

The ideal candidate for a SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience supporting to pupils with SEN
  • DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through us
  • Right to work
  • Overseas criminal clearance
