Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate who to work at one of our top schools. The school has an Autism Resource Provision and they will require you as a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a year 3 child with Autism.
This 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant gives you the opportunity to collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Requirements:
- Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
- Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
- Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees are welcome)
