Job Description

Role: 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Start:ASAP

Location: South London

Contract: Full time (Monday - Friday)

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate candidate who is willing to support key stage 1 pupils with Autism and ADHD with within a mainstream primary school. This highly rewarding 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role would require you will be dealing with challenging behaviour and using various reinforcement strategies to provide support for these two boys. best challenging position and would require someone who can defuse tough situations. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with individual students who require additional support due to behavioural challenges.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
