Assistant Headteacher

We are currently seeking an ambitious and engaging Assistant Headteacher to join one of our fantastic SEN School in Hackney. They are looking for someone who will take an effective lead on behaviour and attendance ensuring an inclusive environment where no pupil is left behind and all pupils have the support and challenge to be the best they can be.

The Role:

We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who is a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) and who, ideally, has experience of working within a SEN setting. As an Assistant Headteacher you will support the SLT to develop and support behaviour and attendance provision as well as manage effective inclusion of all pupils across the school.

  • Lead and develop our committed staff team
  • Work effectively with governors, corporate colleagues and other partners
  • Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, skilled and solution focused

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a range of abilities and needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
