A welcoming secondary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team starting in January. This rewarding role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to helping students with SEN achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Support students in one-to-one and small group settings, fostering engagement with the curriculum.
  • Encourage the development of positive behaviour and social skills.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement and monitor personalised education plans (IEPs).
  • Track student progress and share feedback with teachers and parents.
