LTF Recruitment are currently collaborating with a wonderful Primary school based in Streatham, London SW16 The school is looking for an outgoing individual to undertake the difficult, but rewarding role of a Behaviour Mentor and assist younger students who showcase difficult behaviour or require additional assistance on a day-to-day basis.

As a Behaviour Mentor your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • To collaborate with teachers ensuring effective behaviour.
  • Working 1:1 with identified children to deliver bespoke additional support to pupils.
  • To set learning targets to improve behaviour and track progress of students including those with Special Educational Needs.
  • To challenge and motivate students to promote self-esteem and improve overall behaviour.
  • Provide valuable feedback and advice to pupils, serve as a role model, and report back to parents/carers.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and resilience skills
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with the students and fellow colleagues.
  • Resilient, emphatic and able to remain positive in difficult situations.
  • You have previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Relevant qualifications in Education Studies or related fields are desirable.
