We are recruiting for an experienced BSL Learning Support Assistant qualified in British Sign Language Level 2/3 to work with deaf/hard-of-hearing pupils. You will support the pupils with hearing impairment by providing BSL interpretation in the classroom and during extracurricular activities. You will help the pupils develop their BSL skills, which will enable them to become more independent. This wonderful setting is situated in the heart of Newham with excellent transport links.

Job responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with Hearing impairment
  • Communicate with pupils using BSL
  • Comfortable supporting pupils with various Learning Difficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Assist with personal care if needed
  • Supervising pupils behaviour

Job requirements:

  • Previous experience in supporting children or Adults
  • Level 2/3 in British Sign Language minimum (BSL)
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Available Full-Time, 5 days a week
  • Able to commit to 3-6 months
