About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and patient Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a thriving primary school in Redbridge. In this role, you will support young children with special educational needs in their early years of education, helping them to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to early years children with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering personalized learning activities.
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and development of the children you support.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the children.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in an early years setting, preferably with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of young children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable.
