Interim SENCO / Assistant Headteacher - Inclusion

We are working closely with a large secondary school based in East London who are looking to appoint an Interim SENCO to cover maternity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SENCO responsibilities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and EHCP's
  • Lead and support the SEN team effectively.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to enhance support for student needs and ensure their success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management skills within a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships to support student development.
