About the Role: SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a fantastic 2-form entry primary school in Southwark, looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stage 2. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs (SEN) and is ready to make a real difference in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support children with various SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2 (KS2) is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of SEN, particularly autism and communication difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Relevant qualifications (such as CACHE Level 2 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
