At Tradewind we are seeking an experienced Year 4 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with behavioural issues at a primary school located in Islington, near Old Street. This is a full-time role, starting after the October half-term break.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement strategies for positive behaviour management.
• Encourage social and emotional development, ensuring the child is fully engaged in the curriculum.
• Help create a positive and safe learning environment.
• Support with any additional educational needs as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working 1:1 with children who have behavioural issues.
• A background in primary education, particularly in Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
• Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in a similar role is essential.
