Are you a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Key Stage 2? A welcoming primary school in Woodford, Redbridge, is seeking a passionate individual to provide support to children with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
The Role
This full-time position is perfect for a Learning Support Assistant with experience working in KS2. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children who require additional assistance with their speech and language development. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help to create an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of targeted interventions.
- Encouraging pupils' confidence and independence in their learning.
- Supporting the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting engagement.
- Liaising with speech and language therapists and other external professionals.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience supporting children in KS2, ideally with a focus on speech and language needs.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
The Offer
- Salary: £90-£95 per day (PAYE).
- Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, full-time, term-time only.
- Start Date: April 2025.
