Learning Support Assistant

An Ofsted rated 'good' primary school in Camden are seeking an educated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant Early Years provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of nursery-aged children, especially those with special educational needs. You will be supporting and ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) on a 1-1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of engaging activities tailored to the needs of children, particularly those with ASD and other special educational needs.
  • Work closely with the Early Years team to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with nursery-aged children is preferable.
  • A relevant Early Years Cache Level 3 qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASD, is essential.
  • A relevant degree in Education is an advantage.
