We are currently recruiting for inidividuals who want to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Role Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with students to support their learning and emotional well-being. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive classroom environment, helping students to engage with their education and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and participation in classroom activities.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and support staff.
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with students to promote emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are preferred but not essential.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
