Learning Support Assistant - Lambeth

Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Lambeth. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping children reach their full potential.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to students
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
  • Support students with SEN, adapting learning materials where necessary
  • Encourage student engagement and build confidence in their learning
  • Help with behaviour management and emotional support
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or similar role is desirable
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
