Are you passionate about working with children?Do you have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs?A Primary school based in Hackney are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team starting ASAP until the end of the academic year, on a full-time basis.As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of a student in their Year 6 class that needs 1:1 support. You will also need to closely work with a small group of children within the class to help support towards their SATS exams.Due to the needs of the children, it would be very desirable if you have worked in a similar position before or have experience tutoring children within KS2.The role as a Learning Support Assistant
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • Closely supporting children towards their SATS exams.
  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Working 1:1, identify and respond appropriately to challenging individual needs
  • A playful and enthusiastic approach to working with children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds
